She was more interested in Professor Aristotle Mongoose. Among Mongooses admirable qualities were a dapper mustache, a scintillating wit, and a love of chocolate tidbits. Miss Sweetcakes and Professor Mongoose never ran out of topics for conversation. They could always discuss their passions for chocolate and for each other. Mongoose was always singing loves old sweet songs to her. His idea of a great date involved a triple chocolate delight at Maudes House of Chocolate. His ideas and hers were the same on lots of things. In everyones eyes, Professor Mongoose and Miss Sweetcakes were soul mates.

affect, effect



"Affect" is usually a verb meaning to influence. " Effect" is usually a noun meaning the result. (His new wealth did not affect his easy-going manner. The drop in the stock market had a serious effect on his holdings.) "Effect" can also be a verb meaning to bring about change. (The new department head effected sweeping changes in departmental policy.)
